Bing and Yahoo Go Bang!

Seems like forever ago in Dec. 2009 when Yahoo and Bing announced the details of the previously proposed merger from June 2009, however, we are finally seeing an execution of the planned merge come in to culmination. The proposed division of services between the 2 search giants was reported (below)…. and seems to be pretty accurate as we see things falling in to place.

Help, Zen Cart 1.3.9 G Broke My Defined Pages!

So you upgraded to 1.3.9 G and everything seemed ok until you updated your main page, or other defined pages content…. Not to worry, the Zen Cart team has a fix for this. I will explain this for you in detail, so you can correctly whitelist and fix these and other functions that rely on the HTML parsing in your Zen Cart. Note that all of your admin previews are also not parsing the HTML and you see them as code in preview… This is not a mistake and protects you against the possible execution of scripts in the defined area and XSS injection. I imagine that eventually the “preview” button will simply be removed and we will have just “save” like other areas.

Zen Cart PCI Scan Patch – New

The issue was causing the code to loop thru sort options but even though it never found a valid one, it gives the SQL error because the "order by" statement is added without an actual order-by field. It's not an actual vulnerability, because the hack attempt is killed by the built-in sanitization. However, the SQL error that occurs is not trapped properly.

Zen Cart w/ PHP 5.3X – Patch

For those with webhosts which have currently upgraded to the newest PHP 5.3 there have been quite a few bugs and compatibility issues reported. In response to the demand to maintain PCI compliance and allow shop owners running the current 5.3 platform to continue to use Zen Cart a patch was released to make your Zen Cart compatible with PHP 5.3X. Note that while this patch is said to be backwards compatible, it is not necessary unless you are running PHP 5.3.
